FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the definition of “Raw” hair ?

“Raw” hair is 100% unprocessed hair, collected from one donor and wefted to make one bundle of hair. It has no perming, strengthening, and synthetic fibers. Our raw hair might have some coloring or bleaching on it but that is normal due to the hair being donated from a human being who might have colored their hair before donating.

  • What does the term “wefted” mean?

Wefted hair is hair used for a weaving process. It can be used with custom/special bonding glue or sewn into a track/braid ready to enable the weaving process.

  • Can the weft be cut?

Although we do not suggest cutting our wefts, they will not unravel if and when cut.

  • Does this hair shed?

Any hair that has been manufactured to be stitched on a weft is entitled to experience minimum shedding which is absolutely normal. Minimum shedding meaning (the hair will never have a noticeable or drastic decrease in its density or volume.) However, proper maintenance is extremely important and advised.

  • Will Cambodian/Vietnamese hair match the texture of African American hair?

Yes, because of the raw nature of the hair it matches great with all ethnic groups textures.

  • Will each weft be the same weight?

Raw Hair is first weighted 3.2-4.0 oz and weft by hand, so the wefts will be different between each bundle. Meaning one donor per bundle.

  • How much hair do I need?

Depending on your desired style, Extenze suggest:

Length 16"-  2 bundles or more,

Lengths 18”-24”- 3 bundles or more,

Lengths 26”-30”- 4 bundles or more,

Length 30"- 4 bundles or More.

  • Can I color this hair?

Yes, this is 100% Raw hair. It can be bleached up to 613, rinsed and died at your leisure. Our recommendation is to always have the process followed by a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner.

  • Do you guys offer lace?

Yes, we do offer lace products, our HD film lace is the thinnest lace on the market. It is thinner than regular HD lace. This means it is almost invisible and due to it being extremely thin, it is delicate and can rip faster than swiss lace, transparent lace, and regular HD lace.

  • How often can I wash my hair?

As many times as you may wish ! Our recommendation is once a week to avoid drying out the hair, as our bundles are 100% raw and should be treated much like your own natural hair.

  • How long does the hair last?

Depending on your maintenance, hair can last multiple instalments. With great maintenance our hair can last up to or over 5 years.
